DIRECTIONS TO
CAMP NARROW ESCAPE:
(Revised
due to road construction) 5898 Lake Rabun Road Lakemont, GA 30552
From the South:
Take I-85 north to I-985 north to 441 north;
continue towards the town of Clayton. When you go over Tallulah Gorge you
will go about 1.6 miles and turn left onto Old 441, just after you cross
the new bridge. This is where the construction will affect you. Where you
normally simply turn left onto Old 441, you must now have to make a quick left,
right, left, due to construction. Just follow the signs. Look for a brown
sign on your right that says "Rabun Beach Camp Ground & Recreation
Area", the RV campgrounds will also be on your right. Go approximately
2.4 miles on Old 441, when you cross a narrow bridge you will turn left onto
Lake Rabun Road. Go 5.4 miles on Lake Rabun Road, when you see Rabun Beach
Camp Grounds you will be about 1 mile from the house. Lake Rabun Road is a long
and windy road so don't think you are lost or have missed our drive, check your
odometer and go approximately 5.4 miles. Look for a Green Boathouse on the left
with a large red star on the side. You will see a pair of stone entrance
columns on the right. Note: Don't speed through the town of Tallulah Gorge, the police like to sit there
and give out tickets. Our drive time is exactly 1.5 hours from our house in
Dunwoody.
Note: Parking is always limited. Please pull as
far off the side of the road as possible. If anyone needs assistance walking up
the drive please call us and we will make arrangements to come pick you up at
the gate. Thanks and drive safely.
From the North:
Take 441 south to the town of Clayton.

blinking light). Hardware store will be on corner. Continue on this road, it is
actually Old 441, until you go through the very small town of Lakemont
(Alley's grocery store will be on your right).
Go a little farther and fork right onto Lake Rabun Road. Go 5.4 miles on Lake Rabun Road, when you see Rabun Beach
Camp Grounds you will be about 1 mile from the house. Lake Rabun Road is a long
and windy road so don't think you are lost or have missed our drive, check your
